MOUNTAINEERING & HIKING
Due to the high altitude, Cervinia is a hiking & mountaineers dream. A paradise of assorted trails from beginners to advanced mountaineers. For those just looking for long walks under the most photographed mountain in the world the Matterhorn and those who actually want to climb it – variety for the whole family. Those wanting to climb the Matterhorn can enjoy an overnight stay on the mountain while in the company of the experienced Matterhorn guides. The surrounding villages of Valtournenche & Torgnon also offer many trials and different options.
An intense walking technique where sticks are used and almost every muscle group in the body is activated. A real good body work out.
25kms of slopes of skiing on the glacier obtainable by the lifts & the slopes. On arrival by cable car there is the most wide spread view of Matterhorn to all the way to the Mont Blanc. One of the Wonders of The Alps namely the Grottadi Ghiaccio is also accessible by foot (however only in the company of a guide). The Cave is open daily for viewing if conditions permit.
FIXED ROPE CLIMBING
Cervinia boasts 3 “via ferrata’s” routes for absolute beginners and more advanced rope climbers, with the thrill in absolute safety.
Playing the 18-hole golf course in Cervinia is one of a kind resting at the foot of the Matterhorn surrounded by nothing other than beauty and a unique landscape .the golf course is a par 69 and the practise course has 15 varied stations
Tandem flights are available with an instructor, yet another way to see this unique landscape from a bird’s eye view.
