Summer in Cervinia

The day before departure

  • Take an effervescent tablet called Airmune one day prior to departure & again just before leaving for the airport.
  • Remember to do the same on your return journey home.
  • Take at least one viral choice tablet per day while in the resort.

Packing

  • Jeans, flat boots, (no leather soles) layered tops and a jacket is evening dress code. 1 pair of Ski Pants is enough for a week.
  • Wash your smalls in the shower and dry on the heater and not out the window! Important luggage often ends up in a different airport to where you are so pack your ski pants, gloves, socks, jacket in your hand luggage.

Cervinia - Great skiing and a traditional gem of a village!​

  • The Village…. Maybe the most beautiful village centre in the Alps. Car free, compact, clothing and curios, coffee bars, restaurants and pubs. Clubbing for the energetic. Enough variety, yet small enough to enjoy! The mighty Matterhorn towers over the village!
  • The Skiing…. One of Europe’s best. Dominated by the mighty Matterhorn and surrounded by some of the grandest peaks in the Alps. Long hours of sunshine, huge ski area and long runs. Snow guaranteed glacier resort with the best summer skiing anywhere! Europe’s highest ski lifts ensure totally reliable snow.

Resort facilities / activities

  • Shops – clothing and equipment shops, curios, 2 mini-markets for food and essentials. Chemist, Jewellery Shops , The 2 banks and ATM machines make life easy, A laundromat for washing.
  • The village is too small to need a car. Everything is in walking distance.
  • Night life – try the No-name pub, the Welsh Bar, the Ymmeltrob cocktail bar with its live music, the festive Copapan Pub, the Yeti, Gasoline, and the band at the Scottish bar, and many more. Giugi’s cocktail pub (Where friends meet). For the youngsters there are the night clubs.
  • Adventure sports – the Heli Skiing in Cervinia is just awesome, and there is climbing (the mighty Matterhorn!) paragliding, snow and summer 18 hole golf, a snow park on the Bontadini run, curling, indoor pools and X country skiing. There is an ice museum worth seeing and the Ice Hotel on the mountain in the Zermatt area.
  • Cervinia also offers snowmobiling and husky dog riding.
  • There are mountain hut dinners where we can arrange ski doo ride up, dinner and bumboarding down.
  • Cervinia has a terrific outdoor Ice Rink. Great for kids to do in the evenings.
  • Small kids can play, toboggan and have fun at Kids Zone, right at the base of the slopes.
  • Restaurants abound, with all sorts of diners in town, as well as many mountain restaurants for skiers to enjoy.
  • A few coffee shops offering the most decadent pastries and cakes.
  • If we are snowed in, we will arrange excursions for you to places like Milan, Zermatt, Valtournenche, Turin, Chatillon, Aosta & Lake Como!
